The 22-year-old medical student from Faridkot, Punjab, demolished the previous world record by an astonishing 2.6 points. Samra was in peerless form throughout the match, recording 154.6 in Kneeling, 158.6 in Prone, and a near-flawless 156.4 in the final Standing elimination series.
Her margin of victory over silver medalist Zhang Qiongyue of China (462.3) was one of the largest in ISSF World Cup history, cementing her standing as the undisputed benchmark in women's three-positions shooting.
Samra's triumph follows her Asian Games gold medal and multiple ISSF podiums, confirming India's ascent to the pinnacle of international rifle shooting.
